Ben McDonnell was born on June 2, 1992 in Maplewood, MN. Ever since he was young people have told him to push a career in acting. As a child Ben was always the center of attention and loved the crowd. Bens mother told Almost Famous Magazine, “ he was like raising 10 Jim Carrey’s”.

I started riding at the age of 5 and haven't looked back. I trained my first horse at 16 but never knew that would be my career. I graduated college wi my BA in speech communications with an emphasis in broadcasting from the University og Mn.I started in commercials but again was pulled by the horses. I continued on, training with various trainers but mostly from Gail Howard from Tx. I will forever be thankful.

When I was a kid my dad would take me horseback riding after church on Sundays. I finally convinced him to lease me a horse for a summer and that was the end of it! After showing Quarter Horses for a few years, at age 11 I began to run barrels. What was a weekend hobby became one of the driving passions of my life. I have had the privilege of riding behind some of the most talented women in the industry; Maren Luedemann, Kelly Neisus, and Tammy Whyte. After taking a few years off in college, I have decided to train futurity prospects and campaign a few myself. My goal is simple; provide the public access to well started futurity colts with a solid foundation. I have some of the nicest bred horses in the industry and I am sure one will fit your bill.

Our four grown children were very successful competing on our home-bred Quarter Horses in 4-H and open competition during their school years, bringing home numerous all-around show trophies.
